TANZANIA - Increase In Concession Fees For Lodges & Camps In National Parks

Effective from 01st July 2017, Tanzania National Parks Authority (TANAPA) have introduced an increase to the Concession fees charged for lodges, permanent Tented Camps and permanent Tented Lodges that are located within the Tanzania National Parks. The affected parks are Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Gombe, Mahale, Katavi, Ruaha, Mikumi, Kilimanjaro, Arusha, Saadani, Rubondo, Mkomazi and Udzungwa. Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Selous Game Reserve are not considered National Parks and hence not affected.
This increase now more or less equates the Concession fees to the Camping fees that are charged, by the same authority, to mobile and semi-permanent tented camps - and to clients who stay at special campsites - set up in the National Parks. The increases vary from Park to Park ranging from about US$ 15 to US$ 40 per person per night and will be indicated on every new booking request.
